Instructions

How to Make an Orange Juice Mocktail – Step by Step

  1. Prepare Orange Honey Simple Syrup: Simmer honey with water and orange peel on low heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring often. Turn off the flame and let the syrup sit, covered, for 20–30 minutes, then strain into a jar. This is the homemade Orange Simple Syrup for the Orange Mocktail.
  2. Prepare Garnish – Slice an orange into large slices for garnish, as in the picture. I also like to cut some mint sprigs.
  3. Crush Mint – Muddle mint in a tall glass, cocktail shaker, or pitcher until you smell the fresh minty aroma. You can use a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon.
  4. Add Simple Syrup and Orange Juice – Add 2 ounces of orange simple syrup and 1 cup of orange juice. Stir.
  5. Pour into Glasses: Divide between two glasses filled to the top with ice.
  6. Add Sparkling Water: Top off the glasses with sparkling water.
  7. Garnish: Garnish with fresh mint and orange slices.

Notes

* Store syrup in the refrigerator in a jar with a lid

Serving Tip:
Pour this vibrant orange mocktail over ice and garnish with a fresh mint sprig and a slice of orange. For an extra-special glow, serve in a chilled glass with a sugared rim. Perfect for brunch, baby showers, or sunny afternoon sips!
